More about Lianna

Ministry:

My passion is to see all people worship the Father with total and absolute freedom, which is unique to every individual person and culture. Jesus commands us to worship Him in spirit and in truth, not in a specific style. Although I am a performer, I am also a worship leader and so my heart is to lead people into worship. I have lead worship at conferences and conventions across Canada and Europe and have had the opportunity to see God do mighty things through worship. I have a intercessors heart and this is often reflected in the music that I write.

Personal data:

I grew up in Northern BC in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John. I wrote my first song at age eight and started seriously writing when I was fourteen. We moved to Abbotsford, BC shortly after Randy and I were married. In the summer of 2000, the opportunity opened for us to move our family to Calgary, Alberta. Recently, my husband Randy and I moved again…this time further East to Montreal Quebec.  We’re living in old Montreal in a 160 year old building that’s been converted into lofts.   My husband and I have three children, but they’re grown up and our youngest son just left home to intern in N. Ireland.   I enjoy reading, traveling with my family, water-skiing and time by the lake.

Books Lianna recommends:

The Unquenchable Worshipper by Matt Redman, Your God is Too Safe by Mark Buchanan or any books by Mark Buchanan.  Any books by Edward Rutherford, but especially London and Princes of Ireland.  Intercessory Prayer and Watchmen Prayer by Dutch Sheets.  Adrian Plass is a great humorist with a fresh unreligious approach to walking with Jesus.  These are just a few of my favorite books, but they have greatly inspired me.
