New Release The first time I went to N. Ireland, I SO fell in love with a land and a people that shared a rich heritage of prayer and intercession that had touched the world and were instrumental in bringing Christianity to Western civilization. They also brought a culture and a sense of humour that blessed my socks off!
I will never forget standing in the ruins of Bangor Abbey where 24/7 prayer had taken place for over 120 years at one point in history and God gave me a vision of the land. I saw a dark grey ash covering the land like a blanket. Then, God said to me "Look closer". And so I looked closer and I saw that the ash was cracking and fissures were forming and underneath were red hot embers that were full of light and life. God said to me "It is through prayer and intercession and the wind of my Holy Spirit that the ash will be blown away and these embers will burst forth into light, echoing the vibrancy of the past".
So I asked the Lord for a song to sing over the land, just as I had asked for a Song for Canada for my own land. This year, through the prayers of the intercessors of Movilla Abbey, Song for Ireland has been birthed.
My desire for this song is that it will be used as a call of intercession and hope and also one that will unite the body of Christ in this land that I've come to love as my second home. - Lianna
