Someone once said to me that a CD is like a postcard. It communicates where we are at in that moment of our lives. This project is a postcard but it's also a love letter. It's a slight deviation from my other work in that it's more acoustic and folk and slightly less Celtic and World influenced. I also co-produced it with my son Jordan who wrote 3 of the songs and added his touch in it's feel of contemporary folk.
The songs are all original with the exception of the old hymn "Old Rugged Cross", but Jordan re-wrote the tune slightly to give it a more contemporary feel without losing it's essence. I also included the single release "True Religion (A Cry For Mercy), though it's been re-mixed.
While I didn't set out to make this a concept album, clear themes have emerged about life's journey and the stories along the way.
This project was a step out into the "Holy Wild" for me with it's many new "firsts" and it's been a liberating process. I hope you enjoy it!
