July 1999 - Hi Everyone!

Welcome to my brand new Newsletter! The purpose of this section is to keep you up to date on what is happening in my ministry and family. I will be updating this newsletter monthly and I can't wait to share what God is doing not only in my life, but what I've seen in this great nation of Canada!

This last month especially has been amazing! I attended the Worship Together Conference in Vancouver in June. Sometimes with all my travelling, I get weary and it was an incredible time of refreshment and filling up. God reminded me of His "preposterous" love for me. Do you know that God is absolutely in love with Himself?!? He takes great joy in who He is! That's how He loves us and wants us to love ourselves. What revelation that was for me. I think one of the highlights was the Saturday night worship meeting when my husband Randy and 3 children came with me. I watched as my 10 year old son had revelation of what is was to worship the Father with all his heart and strength. I understand now why Mary cried out "My soul does magnify the Lord" as I watched my son worship Jesus.

The following weekend, I led worship at rally organized to help break down the walls between Indo-Canadians and the church community. It was a powerful time of seeing God break walls through prayer and repentance. I'm excited to see what's going to happen in the next few months because of that time of coming together, regardless of color, denomination or worship style!

At the beginning of July, I attended the first Canadian New Wine Conference as one of the worship leaders at Eagle's Nest Ranch outside of Medicine Hat. David and Mary Pytches from Britain were there, as well as James Ryle, Roger Helland, Kent Henry and Arlen Salte and 550 wet but happy campers. Despite the rain, God's radiance warmed our hearts and I met many kindred spirits. I believe that God has released me into greater freedom as a worship leader through this conference and I am so grateful for the affirmation I received from the leadership. The New Wine Conference will be held again next year at about the same time and I have been asked to return as one of the worship leaders. I am so honored that the Lord has allowed me to be a small part of what He is doing here in Canada and that's the best part about what I do!

The rest of this month and August, I am taking a break and spending much needed time with my family. Randy and I have 3 children ages 14, 13 and 10 and so we hope to spend some time at a lake, ANY lake, and reading and waterskiing and just having fun....though I did dis-locate my left shoulder last week tubing and ended up in emergency! ACHH! Maybe I WON'T be waterskiing this summer after all!

God Bless!
