June 2007 - Hello travellers!

We are half-hearted creatures like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased. ~ (Clive Staples) C. S. Lewis

Everytime I step out of Borderland and into the Holy Wild, I'm reminded that I have far too often, been too easily pleased. The last few months have many times felt like a great adventure...never sure where the next corner will take me, but always sure that God is with me! My problem is that I have a tendency to step back into Borderland and that's where I seem to get lost....not in the Holy Wild where sometimes I can't see what's next, but in the place where complacency reigns....

NEW CD "THE GUEST"
For those of you who haven't heard yet, my new CD "The Guest" was released into stores on April 3rd. It's as project I'm very proud of and creatively, my most rewarding. It's music meant to bring your spirit into a place of quietness and prepare you to meditate on Jesus. It also is a great tool of intercession. It's available across Canada in fine Christian Bookstores, as well as on my website at www.liannaklassen.com

DIGITAL DOWNLOADS NOW AVAILABLE!!
My Digital Download Store in now on-line!! You can purchase individual mp3s or whole albums, including my first album "Swept Off Your Feet". Also available are all my songbooks, sheet music and backing tracks for download! I'm so excited about this as it will make sales in Europe so much less expensive, as there's no shipping charges! Don't ya just love it?!

GERMANY
On May 2nd I returned to Germany with my guitarist Aron Loewen and soundtech Frances Loewen. We had SUCH an amazing tour and God showed up so powerfully! I stayed again with my dear friends Frank and Katja Binder who had also organized a band for me to work with while I was there. We not only did concerts, but a couple of workshops as well. We also got to do quite a bit of sight-seeing and visited a number of museums about the history of the Jews in Frankfurt...fascinating! My son Adam who is interning at a church in Belfast came and joined me for a week (it only costs a penny each way from Dublin plus about $30.00 taxes....why don't we have flights like that here?!). We had a great time getting re-aquainted and he's grown up so much....or maybe I'm just getting older.....sigh!

I was so blessed by how receptive the German people were to the message I brought....one of freedom and healing. Every concert had it's own flavour, but consistently I could sense the hunger for more of Jesus and an openess to the word I felt God gave me....to encourage them to step out of the boat and to step away from fear of failure, fear of looking foolish and fear because of the past. I was especially excited to see so many non-believers come to the concerts....one lady drove 600 KM because her daughter had given her my CDs last year and she wanted to come the concert. She's now looking for a church in her area! The song that really seemed to touch the heart of the people was "I AM" from the new CD. When I prayed for the people during the concert, I never felt resistance...just an open heart and open spirit. I'm back next May 2008 for a least a month and Holland and Switzerland are also a possibility...woohoo!
