May 2001 - Greetings everyone from sunny Alberta!

What a wonderful God we serve! How great and merciful are His ways! It's been an amazing journey that God has taken us on this last few months and so much to talk about!

In my last newsletter (November's a long time ago!), I told you about a Sons of Thunder gathering in Nashville that I would be attending. It's so exciting that in our journey of life, God often leads us down paths we wouldn't have gone on our own, just fulfill our destiny in meeting people who impact our lives. While I was in Nashville at the gathering, not really knowing what my purpose was, God allowed me to join with some amazing men and women, from all over the world. I met Ann-Marie and Peter Helms from Belgium, who are now living in Kelowna, BC. They travel all over the world and share what God has taught them in Intercession and worship in a unique and refreshing way. I met Dave and Ze Markee from England, who's book The Lost Glory has deeply impacted my outlook on ministry. And I met Russ and Leanda Hughes from England, worship leaders from Kent. Russ and I share a passion to see people worship Jesus in spirit and truth and Leanda has the gift of prophetic dance. Russ is part of a church that has established a festival/conference called Revival Fire/Detling 2001 which will be running in August from the 18th to 23rd and I have been invited to come and join Russ in leading worship at this conference. The Lord has opened the door for Randy and the kids to join me and so we will be in England the last 2 weeks of August. I have been praying for over 10 years that God would open the way for me to go back to England and it's finally happening! Please pray for quick recovery from jet lag as we're there only 2 days before the conference begins.

In January, I was back in studio in Richmond, BC working on the new project which is called Love In The Ruins, Hope In The Wasteland. As you're on my website, I know you've already seen all the adverts for it! This new CD has somewhat of a different feel then Listen To The Sound, but it has a strong world worship sound and lots of different instruments. It was fun to work with Ulliean pipes and bagpipes, Hurdy Gurdy and Celtic Harp and flutes! The CD opens with the sound of a jet taking off, representing revival coming to life in our nation and then, the sound of worship from around the world. The Lord gave me a clear vision of how I was to start this CD....so we gathered together intercessors from Abbotsford, BC, and brought together as many languages as we could. Also, I felt the Lord wanted me to have a representative of both old and young. When we came into studio, we put the drone of worship underneath, and then brought together all the languages. The last voice you hear is the sound of the child praying and then the didgeree doo begins the opening song. My prayer is that for those of you who pick up this CD, it will be a blessing and bring you into a place of worship and prayer. Every detail, including photography (Carmen Tome did an amazing job!) and layout were prayed into.

This winter has been so full, it's hard to summarize it all in this newsletter, but I will say my trip to Mississippi, women's conference, and all the other places God's ordained me to go, have been awesome! God continues to use Song for Canada across this nation and raise up people to pray wherever it's heard. I've done an American version called (of course!) Song for America and have received many emails and requests for this version from across the States. God is so faithful and so much bigger than our expectations!

So, 'til next time, God bless you and keep you safe. Please don't hesitate to drop me an email....I'd love to hear from you.

Blessings
Lianna
