ell, it's been a few months since my last newsletter. It's amazing how quick time goes and I remember as a teenager wishing for time to speed up! First of all, I'd like to send you greetings from our new home in Airdrie, Alberta. We've been here 3 months now and it's been quite an adjustment for us! Airdrie is a little town of about 17,000 people (I guess "little" is relative to where you're from, but we were in a city of about 180,000 people!). We're situated about 15 minutes from the airport which is ideal for me with all the travelling I do. The kids are slowly adjusting to a new school and new friends and learning to trust God in new situations. One thing about Alberta is that it's definitely COLDER!....Though it's a nice change to have sunshine almost all the time, even when it's freezing.
In my last newsletter I mentioned a new song that I wrote called Song For Canada and I'm still catching my breath over what God is doing with that song. I get calls everyday from across the nation regarding this song and people are singing it and praying it and interceding for our nation. Isiah 61 talks about "the time of the Lord's favour has come" and I believe that this truly is "the time" of the Lord's favour. God is raising up men and women across this nation who have a heart and a passion for unity and freedom. It is truly a great time to be alive!
Another update is that in July of 1999, I met James Ryle of Truthworks Ministries at the New Wine Conference in Eagle’s Nest, Alberta. I was one of the worship leaders and James was the key note speaker. As the weekend progressed, I saw we had a common bond in our heart for unity . James and his associate Chad Hammond and I seemed to really “click” in our vision and style and this last May 2000, they brought me back to lead worship at a leadership summit they were involved with in Alberta. We felt God leading us to be more committed as a team, and so starting this new year, I will be leading worship at their conferences and conventions across the nations! We are very excited about this new venture and if you’d like more info on Truthworks, their Website is www.truthworks.org. I will be joining James and Chad in Nashville this December at a Sons of Thunder leadership conference. God gave James Ryle a vision a few years ago of the call that He has placed on worship leaders and musicians lives. He has called us not only to facilitate the church, but to evangelize through our gifts and music. I know this seems like a simple vision, but it's surprising how many musicians in the church don't see the greater purpose of their gifting. Anyway, that's what this meeting in Nashville is about, and I would sure appreciate your prayers that we would hear the voice of God. The dates are December 12-17, 2000.
Lastly, I will be in studio in January working on my next CD!! I'm working again with Roy Salmond and I will be co-producing this time. We're starting pre-production in December and should be finished in the studio by the middle of February. So, Lord willing, I will have a new CD by the end of March! Please keep checking back on this website or check your local christian bookstore here in Canada in the spring!
Well, that's it for now. I'd love to hear from you so please drop me a note at newsletter@liannaklassen.com
Blessings and Christmas Cheers!

I WILL NOT BE SILENT
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me
For He has anointed me to preach the good news
For He has appointed me to speak the good news
And He has sent me to proclaim in the power of His name
That captives will be released
And the blind will finally, they will see
That the poor will be made free, they will find liberty.
CHORUS
For the time of the Lord's favour has come
For the time of the Lord's favour has come
So let this nation raise a standard to proclaim Him as Lord
I will not, be silent anymore
I will not, be silent anymore.
