In September of 2014, I was diagnosed with Stage 3, Grade 3 breast cancer. The news rocked my world. In November 2014, after surgery to remove the cancerous lump and four lymph nodes, my breast turned amazing colours from bruising and the dye used to locate the lymph nodes.
This series is the story of my journey through breast cancer. It is painted using only the colours that my breast turned after the surgery, and portrays the diagnosis, aftermath and treatment. I'm so grateful I was able to journal my experience through art, and I hope this collection encourages others who are walking this path as well.
