I'M LIANNA KLASSEN.

I grew up surrounded by music and art. My mom was an accomplished musician, artist and craft maker, so it was natural for me to move into the world of creativity. I was raised in Dawson Creek, a northern BC community that was close knit and had an appreciation for local art and music. Some of my best childhood memories are performing at festivals and being part of local theatre productions. I was singing and writing songs from an early age and began to sing professionally in my 20's. I'd always been good with colours and painting was a hobby that I "picked up" during some of my off times from touring. About 5 years ago I transitioned full time into painting and I've never looked back. It's been a gift that has nurtured me, helped me journal through illness, connected me with wonderful people and opened a whole new world of creativity and community. I hope you enjoy the story that I tell through my art.
